Yellowstone Shortline Trail Receives $6,000 from Montana History Foundation

The Yellowstone Shortline Trail Project was one of 28 projects receiving funds from the Montana History Foundation in 2022. The Montana History Foundation announced they will award over $212,000 in grants this year, which is the largest amount of money awarded since the Foundation started the program in 2012.

The Foundation has awarded funds for projects including collections and artifacts care, outreach and project developments, buildings and structures, and ARPA digitization projects.

The Yellowstone Shortline Trail Project has been awarded $6,000 to support interpretive signage along the trail, which will explore the unique history of the railroad and surrounding area.
